No. An audit examines your accounts; this examines how your board governs. It's closer to the regular board reviews the Code recommends (larger charities are encouraged to have an external one every three years), done affordably enough to do annually.
Then you'll know, and the report always comes with a practical way forward. Most “serious” findings can be fixed in a few meetings. We're on the same side as your board.
The report stands alone. Most fixes are things your board can do itself, and the report says exactly how. If a fix maps to something we offer, we'll mention it once, plainly, with the price. No follow-up calls, ever.
The 2025 Code is written to be applied proportionately, and that's how we score: against what's reasonable for a board of your size, not FTSE expectations. Small boards often get the most from the check.
